Reena video

"Reena" is a delightful tale of gentle countryside japes, starring Mr Nicky and his woodland friends, Reena, Eric and Fox. Inspired by children’s TV classics like Fingerbobs, Bagpuss and Teddy Edward, it features music by The Original Beekeepers with support from members of fellow band Shammy Leather, narration by acclaimed voice artist Lincoln Wood, lovely photography by John Coulson and Tom Owen, and video editing by Simon Beecroft.

Boogie Boardin' by the Original Beekeepers

Song recorded way back when, released as a summer single just in time for the end of summer, filmed in Sunny Stoke Newington, starring 'Man-About-Town-Extraordinaire' Mr Tony Rich, and a cast of... local friends, shopkeepers, cafe owners, artists, students, designers, and the coolest postman in town.  Get yer board shorts on and grab the nearest wave... or at least a beer.  With love from the Original Beekeepers and the House of Three Cheers.  originalbeekeepers.co.uk  TheHouseOfThreeCheers.com  youtu.be/QddEakfep6U   @everydaysunshineshop  @theparlourbistro  Download the single for free at: shammyleatheroriginalbeekeepers.bandcamp.com/track/boogieboarding  #surfing #hipstersurfing #stokenewington #postmen

New booklet launch. Three Cheers!

Like all decent pockets, our new booklet is a portable repository of poetic sweeties, scrunched up stories, a wad of drawings, and other intriguing detritus and fluff.  The idea was to publish and distribute the issue on POEM IN YOUR POCKET DAY, April 28th, but distribution will now be some time next week due to factors beyond our control, beneath our understanding and not worth discussing.  In the meantime, enjoy some digital highlights and share your thoughts with us using the comments below!

House of Three Cheers Film and Band night – with the Original Beekeepers live!

The House of Three Cheers is proud to present the first public screening of Under the Artex Sky , a 30-minute film made to accompany the album of the same name by the Original Beekeepers.  The music and images were made in 2020–21, during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and are a reminder of the strange, unsettled mood – and even stranger sense of opportunity – of the time.  The film will be shown at the Clissold Arms, 105 Fortis Green, London, N10 at 6pm on Sunday 27th August, and will be followed by a rare live appearance by the Original Beekeepers themselves.  The House of Three Cheers will be providing a party bag for each guest, and booklets, posters etc will also be available on the night.  See the full film here Visit originalbeekeepers.co.uk for more Original Beekeeping.  Listen to t he album, Under the Artex Sky , on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
